Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Crefiltur LTD collects when you use crefiltur.com and our video editing services, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

Crefiltur LTD ("Crefiltur", "we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17516053) with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

2. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service, take payment and support you.

  • Contact and account details. Your name, email address, company name and any details you give us when you create an account or write to us.
  • Order and billing information. The plan you chose, renewal dates, invoices, payment status and billing address. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers.
  • Content you upload. Video, audio, images, scripts, logos and notes you send us for editing. This content may contain personal data about you or other people who appear in it.
  • Communications. Emails, comments on drafts and support messages.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected through our web server logs when you use the website.

3. How we use it and our lawful basis

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) we need a lawful basis for each use of your data.

4. Your footage and AI processing

We use automated tools, including machine-learning models, to process the content you upload: for example to transcribe speech, generate captions, remove silences and match colour. This processing is carried out to perform our contract with you.

  • Your content is used only to produce your edit. We do not use it to train AI models, and we do not allow our tool providers to do so.
  • Our staff do not view your content unless you ask for help with a specific project or we investigate a report of abuse.
  • You remain responsible for having the right to send us content that features other people. If someone in your footage asks us about their data, we will refer them to you where appropriate.
  • We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you using automated processing alone.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the business, each bound by a contract that restricts how they can use it:

  • Payment processing, to take subscription payments and issue refunds.
  • Cloud hosting and file storage, to receive your uploads and deliver finished videos.
  • AI and editing tool providers, to carry out the automated processing described in section 4.
  • Email and support tools, to communicate with you.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants, where required.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or restructuring of the business, in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the United Kingdom. When we transfer personal data outside the UK we rely on an adequacy decision issued by the UK government, or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any additional safeguards needed.

7. How long we keep it

  • Projects, including uploaded source footage and exported videos, are deleted 30 days after your last edit. Download the exports you want to keep before then.
  • Account, order and correspondence records are kept for the life of your subscription and for 6 years afterwards, to meet UK tax and accounting rules and to handle any disputes.
  • Web server logs are kept for 30 days.

8. Security

Data is transferred over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Uploads are stored in access-controlled storage; staff access is limited to support you request and abuse investigations, and is logged. We use two-factor authentication on our internal tools and review access regularly. No system is perfectly secure, and if a breach affecting your data occurs we will notify you and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) where the law requires it.

9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your data in certain circumstances.
  • Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Receive the data you gave us in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where consent is our lawful basis.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk, although we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern first.

10. Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses no cookies at all unless we later add a sign-in area or a consent-based analytics tool, in which case we will update this section and ask for your consent where required. Your browser's own settings for cookies apply to any cookies we do set.

11. Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 as a customer. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. For significant changes we will email active customers before the change takes effect.
